I have worked in a variety of sectors but started my working life as a litho printer and progressed through the ranks to production management. Moving from in-house to commercial and finally specialist security ID print I learnt a great deal about manufacturing best practice and what motivates people.

A move to Marks & Spencer in 1996 opened up a whole new world of marketing to me. I completed my Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma and worked my way through the various disciplines including; product and campaign management, branding and finally as their first E-Commerce manager in the early noughties. After nearly 9 great years at M&S Money I headed up the road to Moneysupermarket.com where I developed a new advertising income stream for the intermediary market with great success, eventually becoming the Head of Intermediary Marketing.

In 2007 I moved back into print and joined Systems Labelling Limited a large volume packaging supplier to leading brands and UK supermarket chains. As the Director of Marketing & Business Development I managed industry changing projects for WRAP the Government funded recycling initiative in addition to supporting the sales team. A successful period of growth led to a takeover in 2013 by a new packaging group known as Americk Packaging. For which I took the group of 5 disparate companies through a re-brand exercise I moved to the University of Chester to work on an ERDF project designed to support new start and SME businesses operating in four distinct sectors in the North West of England including Sandon Global.

Along the way I have utilised my skills and experience to advise small and medium sized enterprises (SME’s).
